To mark the centenary of Paremata Boating Club, we are bringing back an old favourite........ loved and remembered by many in the local and countrywide sailing community, it's the Paremata Easter Regatta, this year sponsored by Seaview Sails.
We hope to bring together the young and old (people and boats) for a nostalgic weekend of racing and fun in the Paremata inlet.
The weekend will start on Good Friday, with fun rainbow fleet races and a morning casual sail for all around the inlet following the route of our 'clubhouse' race. This will kick off at 10:30am rigged and ready. Entry for this is free to all. There will be a BBQ back at the clubhouse following the sail (from 12:30pm).
The main racing will then take place on Saturday and Sunday, (4 races each day) followed by lunch back at the clubhouse.
On Saturday after sailing we are also putting on a dinner (included in entry for sailors, $20 per head others), Quiz and Spot Prizes, and concluding on Sunday with an Easter egg hunt for juniors and prizegiving.
We would love to see you for the event and to enjoy an old fixture from the past with the club.
